About this site
Online Slots Kenya explains how online slots work and how they are regulated in Kenya, from the two figures in every game's information screen to the licence an operator needs under the Gambling Control Act, 2025. This page says what the site is, what it is not, who stands behind it today, and why no casino is advertised or linked.
What this site does
The guides cover the mechanics of a slot (reels, paylines, the random number generator), the two figures printed in every game's information screen (return to player and volatility), the laboratories that test games and what their certificates attest, the licence an operator needs under the Gambling Control Act, 2025, and the taxes that touch deposits and payouts. The RTP calculator turns a published RTP into shillings over a chosen number of spins.
Every statement about the law names its section or regulation. Game figures come from the provider's own page or from arithmetic shown on the page. Worked sums are labelled as illustrative examples.
What this site is not
- Not the regulator. The Gambling Regulatory Authority of Kenya, created by s.6(1) of the Act and the legal successor of the Betting Control and Licensing Board (s.6(3)), licenses operators and determines complaints from the public (s.10(m)). This site has no such role and no connection to it.
- Not an operator. No game can be played here and no money is taken.
- Not a review site. No casino is ranked, scored or endorsed, and no bonus is listed.
- Not legal or financial advice. The pages describe rules as published; a decision about your own situation needs the primary text or a qualified adviser.
Who publishes it
The site is new and in DEMO status. The publishing entity and a named reviewer have not yet been published, and there is no track record to point to. When those details are supplied they will appear here first, then on the contact page and in the site's structured data. Until then, read every page with that in mind.
Why there is no advertising and no operator link
Section 87(1) of the Gambling Control Act, 2025 forbids promoting the advertisement of a gambling activity on an electronic medium or any other form of communication without the Authority's approval, and s.87(4) makes a breach an offence. The Gambling Control (Advertising) Regulations, 2026 (L.N. 114) define an advertisement as any form of communication that promotes or is intended to promote participation in a gambling activity (r.2) and prohibit, among other things, calls to action and testimonials (r.9). An information site that links to casinos or lists their offers would be inside that definition. This site therefore carries no advertising, no bonus and no operator hyperlink; where a fact needs an operator's name or domain it is written as plain text, as the regulator's list prints it.
Who it is for
Adults in Kenya of the age of majority, which is eighteen. The 2026 Conduct of Gambling Operations Regulations require that no promotional material appeals to persons under eighteen (L.N. 112 r.92(1)(c)), and the Act requires operators to see proof of age of majority before registering anyone (s.72(3)). Nothing here is written for younger readers.
Reporting an error
If a figure, a section number or a date on any page is wrong, the corrections page explains what counts as an error and what happens after a report. A contact channel is not yet published; the contact page states the position honestly rather than promising a reply.
